What Can You Do?

To see a change in our nations epidemic of child abuse, we can begin by looking at our home state of Colorado to hopefully expand a nationwide impact. The Colorado Domestic Violence Fatality Review Board is a state-level government board that oversees all Colorado domestic violence-related cases provided by Local DV Fatality Review Teams (DVRFTs), law enforcement, public records, and more. The board uses valuable data to identify patterns, red flags, and system failures, and pushes them toward our Colorado General Assembly to secure increased funding to expand data research, thereby improving our reporting on how we can reduce our state's domestic violence cases.

Something as simple as a testimony to our state legislators to improve funding towards the Colorado Domestic Violence Fatality Review Board can help!

Additionally, you can support KARA (Kids at Risk Action) in their mission to raise more awareness and education about child abuse by donating, subscribing to their weekly newsletter, or working directly with them to make an impact! KARA’s impact has been instrumental in providing our community here at CCA with the foundational knowledge and tools to begin our project.
